The 8th Theme Days Boundary and Surface Engineering with 3rd Optics Colloquium "Thin Layers in Optics".

This year, together with the 3rd Optics Colloquium "Thin Films in Optics", the Theme Days on Interfacial and Surface Engineering were held for the first time outside Thuringia in Leipzig. About 250 interested people from research and industry attended the conference and informed themselves in more than 70 lectures and at more than 50 posters on different topics.
On the first day of the event, the 2nd Public Workshop of the regional growth core J-1013 was embedded in the program. The event was rounded off by an industrial exhibition, where various companies presented their products and equipment at 26 booths.
