The 1st Thuringian Border and Surface Days

on 15 and 16 September 2005 at the MAXX Hotel Jena

The 2-day symposium took place as a prelude in Jena. The conference program with 31 lectures, 10 exhibitors and over 100 participants reflected the lively interest in the Jena "Grenz- und Oberflächentage". Present and future applications of surface technology were presented, discussed and economic applications were sought. Therefore, the topics of the lectures focused on current focal points of surface research, such as barrier coatings, self-cleaning surfaces or nanocoatings for corrosion protection and environmentally relevant coating processes.
