The 10th Theme Days Boundary and Surface Technology with 4th Optics Colloquium
from 02 - 04 September 2014 at the pentahotel Leipzig
The 10th Theme Days on Interface and Surface Technology took place this year together with the fourth Optics Colloquium "Thin Films in Optics" from September 02 to 04 in Leipzig. About 170 experts from research and industry in the fields of surface technology and optics attended the conference and learned about various topics in 60 short lectures and 21 poster presentations. A surprising highlight was the poster award ceremony on the first evening in the Bayrischer Bahnhof, where INNOVENT received two poster awards for the first time. Dr. Andreas Heft (INNOVENT) was happy about the first place and an iPad donated by DataPhysics Instrumens GmbH. The second evening event in Auerbachs Keller also offered a cultural experience for all participants. The pleasant atmosphere in the pentahotel Leipzig offered the ideal environment for interesting discussions. The conference was rounded off by an industrial exhibition in which 19 equipment manufacturers presented their products.
